Rather than just reflect upon this assignment, which was in of itself a reflection, I'd like to take this this time to reflect on the course as a whole. First, I'll preface it with saying that I love good literature. Close friends know there are few things I am nerdier about than a good book, short story, poem, etc. At times I bet I'm borderline annoying: calling friends just to recite a passage I've just read, constantly correcting their grammar, or asserting my opinion about the latest novel turned cinema piece. A course like this was exactly the kind of thing I love about English - minus the waking up early in the morning part (Anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely hate mornings). And to have shared the experience with a professor truly devoted to his work was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. It was educational, inspiring, and, often times, and perhaps not always intentionally, very funny, as well. I guess I can relate to professor Howard; we both like cats, literature, and a good laugh. In short, I have gained more from this course than I ever would have hoped to. It was absolutely fantastic!
